Where in the World Was Eddy the Yeti?

Welcome to Eddy's Challenge #2
If you missed Challenge #1, or if you want to learn more about Eddy, don't worry.  Just click on his belly and Eddy will take you back to Russia and Sweden!  You still have time to complete Challenge #1 and win awards.
Here are some of the things you need to know about all of "Eddy the Yeti's" Challenges:

  • There is no age limit; all ages can play the "Where in the World was Eddy the Yeti!" Challenges.
  • Due to popularity, Eddy has to limit awards to one prize per family per Challenge.
  • Qualifying families may enter each of the Challenges throughout the season and are eligible to win one prize for each Challenge!
  • To qualify, a member of your family has skied with the Van Wart Ski Groups during the 2011/2012 season.
  • Or another way to qualify is if you are already guaranteed now or if over the next few months you will be guaranteed for a ski vacation during the 2012/2013 ski season, then you qualify to enter the Challenges.
  • Every family who enters and answers all of the questions correctly is guaranteed a game prize.
  • Eddy will talk with Bob the Ski Guy and the Momma to see if they will have some extra prize draws for families who get most but not quite all of the answers correct.  He's sure they will have some extra prizes to give out because like Eddy, they want everyone to have fun.
  • For those famllies skiing with the Van Wart Ski Groups this 2012/2013 ski season, if you participate in all of the Challenges, and answer all of the questions correctly, there will be special prizes announced just before you leave for your vacation.  Bob the Ski Guy and the Momma have come up with some really nifty prizes and they're keeping it secret even from me, Eddy the Yeti!
  • All entries must be submitted by no later than end of day Friday, March 15th, 2013 to qualify for a prize.

Helsinki, Finland.  While Eddy and his buddy were in Helsinki, Finland they spent most of their time attending church.  But this was no ordinary church.  The Lutheran Temppeliaukio Church was built out of solid rock!  It was supposed to be built in the 1930's but when World War II started, there was no money to built it.  All of Helsinki's resources had to go towards the war effort. Another competition was held and won by two brothers, Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen in 1961.  The ceiling is a dome made of solid copper and the inside walls are all bare rock.   The church is also known as the Church of the Rock and was opened in 1969.

The nice church lady gave us a private sitting and played the Grand Piano for us. I almost fell asleep listening to her wonderful music coming from the big pipes behind us.
Puss in Boots and I were glad to be on land again.  We like being on the Holland America cruiseship Prinsendam but we were  eating too much!  The All Aboard time means if we're not here by then, the ship will leave without us!  Then we would be in lots of trouble.
Puss and I decided we should say a prayer at the alter for the people who fought in World War II. Above us are windows that let in natural light and above that is the big copper dome ceiling.
This is where people hang their coats. The racks are drilled right into the stone wall.  Bob told us to be good or he would make us hang on the rack until he was ready to go.  The basket is for donations.  We gave 10 Euros (that's about $13.40 in Canadian dollars).
Bob, Puss in Boots and I all tried very hard to get a good picture of the copper dome roof but couldn't. We really wanted to show you the roof and the long thin windows so we got this picture from wikipedia.
If you would like to hear the piano music and see the video we took of the inside of the church, then just
